Small Power Boat and Rib Master (YD001)

YD 001 Small Powerboat And Rip Master . Syllabus . Who make this course it will be able to operate a Small Dinghy up to 6 Meters with Small engine inside or outside a Port. Limitations

• Covers Vessels up to 6 Meters.

• Operation in Coastal Regions-in Sight of Land

• Driven by outboard or inboard motors

• The Vessel must Not can take Speed over 15 Knots

• Fair Weather

Course Outline The Course Covers 2 Days (12 Hours) of Theory and one Day of a Practical boat Handling including: • Safety at Sea • VHF Radio Operations • Small Powerboats and rigid inflatable Boats • Launching and Recovery • Anchors and anchoring • Nautical Terminology • Boat Handling under Power • Man Overboard Procedures • Ropes and Rope-work • Basic Rules of the road (Collision Regulations) • Glossary of terms

YD 002 BOAT & SAILING YACHTS SKIPPERS COURSE Course Outline The Course Covers 5 Days (30 Hours) of Theory and one Day of a Practical boat Handling including: • Safety at Sea • VHF Radio Operations • Small Powerboats and rigid inflatable Boats • Launching and Recovery • Anchors and anchoring • Nautical Terminology • Boat Handling under Power • Man Overboard Procedures • Ropes and Rope-work • Basic Rules of the road (Collision Regulations) • Glossary of terms

Limitations • Covers Vessels up to 12 Meters. • Operation in Coastal Regions-in Sight of Land • Driven by outboard or inboard motors • The Vessel must Not can take Speed over 15 Knots • Fair Weather

Law for Skippers in Greece

Sailing qualifications Under Greek law, at least two crew members (skipper and assistant) need to have some form of sailing certificate/license. This certificate/license can be issued by a “yachting” authority such as a sailing club, sailing school, yachting/sailing association, etc. The skipper must have his/her original document with him/her but in the case of the assistant, a simple signed declaration to the local coast guard, stating that he/she has sailing experience is acceptable. You may also be required to submit a sailing resume that will enable us to assess your ability to sail in safety.
